By the end of May the bulk excavation of underground parkade was substantially complete. Stabilization of vertical cuts along east and south property line was substantially complete including shotcrete, drilling and grouting of anchor bolts.
Mass excavation for the underground parkade commenced during the last week of April 2008. Excavation was concentrated starting from west property line from Grid line 1 to 13 and continued to east property line towards King George Highway. This excavated section was backfilled with imported granular material and compacted. As the excavation progressed beyond Grid line 13, area from Grid 1 to 13 was prepared for raft slab and the vertical cut along King George Hwy was prepared for shotcrete and anchor bolts (as sown on photos taken on May 13, 2008).
